Lina Bo Bardi – modernist architect

Born in Rome, she spent most of her professional life in Brazil, where she moved after World War II. It was here that Bo Bardi developed her own architectural language, fusing European modernism with Brazilian culture, nature, and everyday life.

In her projects, the architect used concrete, glass, and open spaces, striving to create buildings that become part of urban life. She paid particular attention to public spaces, believing that architecture was not simply the art of construction, but a way to bring people together.

Among her most famous works are the São Paulo Museum of Art, the SESC Pompéia cultural center, and the Glass House, created for her own family. In 2025, an exhibition dedicated to the work of Lina Bo Bardi was held at GES-2 in Moscow.
