#MasterpieceCode The Statue of Unity in India, erected in honor of Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the authors of the country's Constitution, is recognized as the tallest in the world.
The design was developed by sculptor Ram Sutar, who created the 182-meter-tall statue, whose total height, including the pedestal, reaches 240 meters. The structure consists of two reinforced concrete cylinders surrounded by iron reinforcement.
Sutar didn't sculpt a full-size model, but first created a 9-meter replica, which was then scaled up to the required size using a computer model. After that, all the elements were cast and installed on the supports. Construction lasted five years, from 2013 to 2018.
